  • ARENA Network Wales : ARENA Network is an independent organisation providing practical support to business and other organisations on environmental management issues. ARENA Network's principal aims are to promote greater environmental awareness, the adoption of best practice and sustainable development whilst improving overall business performance and competitiveness. The work is undertaken on a demonstrably independent, professional, high-quality and not-for-profit basis
  • British Chambers of Commerce : The British Chambers of Commerce comprise a national network of quality-accredited Chambers of Commerce, all uniquely positioned at the heart of every business community in the UK and representing more than 100,000 businesses of all sizes in all sectors of the economy - equivalent to four million jobs.
  • Business Link (England) : Business Link is an easy to use business support, advice and information service managed by the DTI. Local presence across England, managed by business people for business people, means we are uniquely placed to identify business support services from across the government, voluntary and private sectors.
  • Envision : Envision offers South West small and medium sized businesses cost saving environmental management support and business advice. This Project is part funded by the Environment Agency, RDA and European Union.
  • National Farmers Union : The National Farmers' Union represents the farmers and growers of England and Wales. Its central objective is to promote successful and socially responsible agriculture and horticulture, while ensuring the long term viability of rural communities.
  • NetRegs : The NetRegs website is free to use and is regularly updated. Its aim is to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK to understand the complex environmental regulations that can affect them. The site provides guidance on how to comply with environmental law as well as advice on good environmental practice.
  • Scottish Business in the Community : Scottish Business in the Community (SBC) enables companies to make their impact on society as positive and productive as possible, whilst gaining tangible business benefits. SBC is a not-for-profit company with charitable status, and is led by its member companies, a prestigious group committed to the promotion of responsible business practice in Scotland. A sophisticated network of multi sector contacts and twenty years of experience makes SBC the logical route through which the Scottish business community responds to the challenge of improving its impact on society.
  • Scottish Chambers of Commerce : The Scottish Chambers of Commerce is the umbrella organisation of the local Chambers of commerce. Its prime functions are to promote and protect the interests of local Chambers and their member companies throughout the length and breadth of Scotland. It helps promote co-operation between the local Chambers in the provision of services and represents the common interests of Chambers at a national and international level. The national body represents the interests of members to the Scottish, UK and European Parliaments, opposition parties, the Scottish Executive and other Government officials, Enterprise bodies, COSLA and other public bodies, and works with other private-sector business support bodies in Scotland on areas of mutual interest.
  • The Welsh Development Agency (WDA) : We are the Economic Development Agency for Wales, working for its people, creating prosperous communities by helping businesses to start, develop and grow.
  • Tyre Recovery Association : To fulfil a need by providing an externally audited, legally compliant tyre collection and recovery service thereby providing security, protection and peace of mind for those companies that generate waste tyres.
  • Wales Environment Trust (WET) : At the Wales Environment Trust, we create new markets for recyclates (recyclates refers to any products such as aggregates, glass, wood, plastics, metals, biodegradable materials and end-of-life products such as cars, fridges and electrical equipment that can be recycled). We help businesses to develop economically and environmentally sustainable ways to maximise the use of recyclate for business benefit, while minimisingm waste destined for landfill sites.
  • Waste Awareness Business : Any business based in Scotland can use the Business Recycling Directory to access information about local and national recycling and refuse services from a range of service providers.

  • Business in the Environment : Business in the Environment inspires companies to work towards environmentally sustainable development as a strategic, mainstream business issue.
  • Envirowise : Envirowise offers UK businesses free, independent, confidential advice and support on practical ways to increase profits, minimise waste and reduce environmental impact. This government-funded programme can help make your business more competitive and profitable, and ensure that you always comply with environmental legislation. This website has been designed to give you access to information, guides and industry-specific advice, whether you are just beginning to address the environmental issues facing your business, or you want to pursue specific aims.
  • Groundwork : Groundwork is a federation of Trusts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, each working with their partners to improve the quality of the local environment, the lives of local people and the success of local businesses in areas in need of investment and support.
  • Recycling Action Yorkshire (RAY) : Recycling Action Yorkshire is a not-for-profit, regional programme funded by Yorkshire Forward and the European Regional Development Fund. RAY will work in partnership with national and regional stakeholders to stimulate the market for recycled materials throughout the recycling chain from collection and reprocessing, to manufacture and sustainable procurement
  • remas : remas is a 3-year project designed to examine environmental management systems (EMS) currently in place in business and industry across EU Member States. remas aims to demonstrate that companies and organisations that implement EMS show better environmental performance overall.
  • The Landcare Partnership : The Landcare partnership aims to reduce the impact of agricultural run-off by raising the awareness amongst land managers of best farming practice.
  • Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) : WRAP's mission is to accelerate resource efficiency by creating efficient markets for recycled materials and products, while removing barriers to waste minimisation, re-use and recycling.
